99.0000% Tetrahydro-3,5-dimethyl-2H-1,3,5-thiadiazine-2-thione; Dazomet
Oral-rat LD50: 320 mg/kg, Inhalation-rat LC50: 8400 mg/m3/4H,
Dermal-rat LD50: 2260 mg/kg.
Not readily absorbed through skin. May cause skin irritation.
Inhalation of dusts or powders may result in nonspecific irritation of the
upper respiratory tract.
Ingestion may produce symptoms of nonspecific irritation of the GI
tract, nausea, vomiting, cramps and diarrhea. In sever cases, CNS
depression may result.
If released to soil, dazomet is expected to undergo rapid
hydrolysis in moist soils. Hydrolysis is expected to be the primary
removal process. Dazomet may display high mobility in soil although it is
expected to hydrolyze before extensive leaching occurs. If released to
water, the dominate fate process for dazomet is expected to be hydrolysis.
Neither bioconcentration, adsorption to sediment, nor volatilization to
the atmospheres are expected to be important.
